April 26, 2007

OLG is not associated with unsolicited mailings in the United States collecting fees on lottery winnings.

OLG has been made aware of a mail fraud scheme in the United States involving phony letters and cheques bearing OLG's name and logo. The letter claims that the consumer has won a major lottery prize which can be claimed if they send in money.

OLG does not require lottery winners to send in a payment to claim a prize. Consumers receiving these types of letters and cheques should contact our customer service department toll-free at 1-800-387-0098.
