"I started playing in Port Dover when the prize was a bowl of fruit and ten pounds of sugar."
Clarkson Woman Wins Big Link Plus jackpot of $192,695.60
Lillian Davison of Clarkson has played bingo for decades, but she's never won big like this before. On January 1st, Lillian won the Big Link Plus jackpot of $192,695.60 at Delta Mayfair Bingo for saying yes to Plus, a bonus game that can be played for $1. Lillian, who celebrated her 76th birthday over the holidays, is an avid bingo player who says she's been playing for years and years, "I started playing in Port Dover when the prize was a bowl of fruit and ten pounds of sugar." Lillian's prize without Plus would have been almost $800.
This is the second time that the Clarkson mother of four and grandmother of seven has won playing bingo. Three months ago, Lillian won $5,000 on an in-hall progressive prize which she shared with her husband. She plays bingo at least five nights a week and always with her husband by her side. Lillian plans on sharing her win with her family and may also take a trip.
Delta Mayfair Oakville will host a special celebration for Lillian at the hall. Media are invited to the celebration which will take place at:
