Important Note

Whether you have a winning ticket or not, your retailer must return all LOTTO and INSTANT tickets to you along with the corresponding Customer Receipts.

Claiming your prize

If you do not have a winning INSTANT ticket:

  1. If you are at a lottery terminal retail outlet, you will see a non-winning message on the Customer Display Screen and hear a non-winning message play from the lottery terminal.
  2. Whether you are at a lottery terminal retail outlet or a retail outlet that sells INSTANT tickets only: your retailer will give you a Customer Receipt which will indicate that your ticket is a non-winner.
  3. The boxed Ticket Number on the receipt should match the Ticket Number on the ticket.

When you present a ticket for validation, all retailers must follow these simple steps:

  1. Check whether tickets are signed before validating.
  2. If tickets are not signed, ask the customer to sign them. Retailers cannot validate tickets that are not signed.
  3. Tear through the bar code of all paid-out tickets, and return all validated tickets, winners and non-winners, to customers along with the corresponding Customer Receipt.
  4. Keep clutter away from the lottery terminal or INSTANT ticket device and the printer.
  5. Ensure the lottery Customer Display Screen is visible to the customer at all times.
