Congratulations to Alberto B. Dela Rosa of Kenora who won $2,633,152 from the LOTTARIO draw on October 11, 2008.
Dela Rosa was at the retail location when he realized he won this jackpot prize. “I used the self-serve ticket checker to check my ticket,” an excited Dela Rosa told Prize Centre staff in Toronto when claiming his prize. “I’ve always wanted to fix my mother’s house in the Philippines, and now it can actually happen,” he went on to say. Dela Rosa chose his winning LOTTARIO numbers based on the numbers he found in his fortune cookie.
Dela Rosa, 48, is married and has three sons. Plans for the windfall include paying for his children’s education and investing the rest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shell located on Second Street South in Kenora.
