NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. CONTEST OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONTARIO WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF CONTEST ENTRY AND WHO HAVE A VALID WINNER’S EDGE ACCOUNT OR OLG.CA PLAYER ACCOUNT, DEPENDING ON METHOD OF ENTRY, AS SET OUT HEREIN.



1. Introduction

The WINTARIO50 Community Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (“OLG”). OLG is referred to in these Official Rules and Regulations as the “Sponsor”. The Contest is managed by Splashdot (the “Contest Manager”) acting on behalf of the Sponsor for the purposes of this Contest. Collectively, the Sponsor and Contest Manager are referred to as the “Contest Parties”.

The Contest involves nomination by Eligible Participants of United Way Regions (defined below) for the chance for that Region to win a Community Prize (defined below). Nomination of a United Way Region by an Eligible Participant also results in the entry of that Eligible Participant into a Region Pool (defined below) for the chance to win a Participant Prize (defined below) drawn from all the Entries received for that Region Pool (there will be one eligible winner per Region Pool). Community Prizes will be awarded by OLG to the Regions in accordance with these Contest Rules. For the purpose of this Contest, there are twenty-six (26) United Way Centraide regions in Ontario (each, a “United Way Region” or “Region” and collectively, the “Regions”) that can be nominated to receive a Community Prize as set out in the table below. Eligible Participants can nominate any of the Regions, regardless of place of residence in the province.

This Contest takes place in Ontario, Canada.

 

2. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest commences June 24, 2025, at 5:30 a.m. ET and ends on August 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. ET (the “Contest Entry Period”). By entering this Contest, Eligible Participants accept and agree to be legally bound by these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”) and the decisions of the Sponsor (and where the Sponsor designates, the Contest Manager), which are final, binding (without right of appeal) and conclusive on all matters related to this Contest.

3. ELIGIBILITY

  1. 3.1 The Contest is available in Ontario only and only open to those residing in Ontario who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of Contest and who have a valid Winner’s Edge account or OLG.ca Player Account (“Eligible Participant”). OLG.ca Player Accounts must be in good standing in accordance with the Player Agreement and not have been archived, self-excluded, deactivated or placed on a break at time of opt-in.

  2. 3.2 Notwithstanding Section 3.1, the Contest is not open to:
    1. Volunteers, employees, officers, directors, representatives or agents of any of the following:
      1. the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”);
      2. the Sponsor;
      3. the Sponsor’s authorized Lottery Retailers (defined below in Section 3.3) (unless the Lottery Retailer or their staff purchases a valid WINTARIO50 ticket from the location of another Lottery Retailer, on OLG.ca, or otherwise enter by way of the No Purchase Necessary option);
      4. the respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, Prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies of any of the foregoing parties mentioned in (i) through (iii); and
      5. any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Contest, including the Contest Manager.
    2. Employees of United Way Centraide.

  3. 3.3 For the purpose of this Contest, a “Lottery Retailer” means a person/entity contracted by the Sponsor to sell lottery tickets and provide lottery services at a retail location in Ontario.

  4. 3.4 In the event that an individual does not meet the eligibility requirements as set forth herein, the Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to reject or disqualify the individual from participating in this Contest.

4. PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING

  1. 4.1 There are two types of prizes available to be won in this Contest (each, a “Prize” and collectively, the “Prizes”):
    1. Prizes awarded to Regions by OLG (each, a “Community Prize” and collectively, the “Community Prizes”);
    2. Prizes awarded to Eligible Participants (each, a “Participant Prize” and collectively, the “Participant Prizes”);

  2. 4.2 Community Prizes

    There are twenty-six (26) Community Prizes available to be won by the Regions, as set out below.

    The odds of a Region being selected to win a $250,000 or $50,000 Community Prize depend on the total number of Nominations received by each Region from Entries submitted by Eligible Participants in accordance with these Terms.


    An Eligible Participant can select any one of the 26 Regions to Nominate, regardless of place of residence in the province. There is a limit of one Community Prize per Region.


  4. 4.3 Participant Prizes

    There are twenty-six (26) Participant Prizes available to be won by Eligible Participants, each consisting of $5,000 CAD cash. There will be twenty-six (26) separate draws, each draw for one (1) Participant Prize and each only drawing from Entries associated with a single Region (a “Region Pool”). There will be one (1) Participant Prize draw for each Region Pool, unless a Region receives no nominations (in which case, OLG will draw from all eligible Entries in accordance with Section 6.3).


    For each Participant Prize, the odds of winning depend on the total number of Nominations the Region Pool associated with the draw receives.


5. HOW TO PARTICIPATE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

  1. 5.1 An Eligible Participant can earn entry(s) for their selected Region towards the Community Prize (each, a “Nomination” or to “Nominate”) and entry(s) for the Participant Prize (each, an “Participant Entry” and collectively, “Participant Entries”). Together, a Nomination and Contest Entry are referred to as an “Entry” and collectively, “Entries”. An Eligible Participant can earn one (1) Entry by purchasing an WINTARIO50 ticket (an “Eligible Ticket”) and following the entry instructions set forth these Rules, or by submitting a valid No Purchase Necessary request. Specifically, an Entry can be earned by
    1. making an eligible purchase in-store at a Lottery Retailer (“In-store”) and following the steps in Section 5.2; or
    2. making an eligible purchase online on OLG.ca or through the OLG Mobile App (“Online”), and following the steps in Section 5.3; or
    3. submitting a valid No Purchase Necessary (“NPN”) request by following the steps in Section 5.4.

  2. 5.2 In-Store. To enter by making an eligible purchase In-store, an Eligible Participant must complete the following steps during the Contest Entry Period:
    1. Purchase a WINTARIO50 ticket In-store between June 24, 2025, and August 14, 2025 (an “Eligible In-Store Ticket”);

      For clarity, an Eligible In-Store Ticket is defined as one play for $5.00 or three plays for $10.00. An Eligible In-Store Ticket will earn one (1) Entry regardless of whether the ticket is for one or three plays.

    2. Log in to their Winner’s Edge account. If an Eligible Participant does not have a Winner’s Edge account, the Eligible Participant must visit winnersedge.olg.ca (“Contest Website”) and navigate to the “Sign Up” page to register an account by submitting their name, address, email address, phone number, and date of birth; and,
    3. Once logged in to their Winner’s Edge account, an Eligible Participant must visit the “Enter Tickets” page, acknowledge their acceptance of the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations (required for first ticket Entry only), enter their Eligible In-Store Ticket using the ticket’s unique ticket number and nominate a United Way Region by following the instructions on the Contest Website. Upon successfully completing these steps, the Eligible Participant will earn one (1) Entry per Eligible In-Store Ticket, consisting of one (1) Nomination for the Eligible Participant’s selected United Way Region in the associated Community Prize draw and a Participant Prize Entry in the associated Region Pool’s Participant Prize draw.


    For clarity, the following In-store tickets will not be considered an Eligible Ticket and cannot be used to earn Entries:

    1. Any replacement ticket; or
    2. Any cancelled ticket.

  3. 5.3 Online. To enter by making an eligible purchase Online on OLG.ca or through the OLG Mobile App, an Eligible Participant must complete the following steps during the Contest Entry Period:
    1. Sign up or log-in to their OLG.ca Player Account.
    2. Navigate to the “Promotion Detail Page”, select a Region to Nominate, and opt-in to the WINTARIO50 Community Contest.
    3. Upon opting-in, Eligible Participants will be presented with a notification indicating that their opt-In was successful. The promotion tile will then appear in the Eligible Participant’s “Your Active Promotions” section of their Player Account.
    4. Purchase WINTARIO50 online on OLG.ca, by using Unutilized Funds or Direct Pay (not funded by Lottery Bonus(es)) (“Eligible Online Ticket”). For clarity, an Eligible Online Ticket is defined as one (1) play for $5.00 CAD or three (3) plays for $10.00 CAD An Eligible Online Ticket will earn one (1) Entry regardless of whether the ticket is for one or three plays.
    5. Upon successful opt-in in accordance with this Section 5.3, Eligible Participants will earn (1) Entry per Eligible Online Ticket, consisting of one (1) Nomination for their selected United Way Region in the Community Prize draw and one (1) Participant Entry in the Participant Prize draw for the associated Region Pool. Nominations for a given Region will be applied as follows:
      1. The Region nominated at time of opt-in will be the Region for which Nominations for Eligible Online Tickets will be applied for the Community Prize draw, subject to (ii) and (iii).
      2. An Eligible Participant will receive an Entry for each Eligible Online Ticket purchased prior to opt-in. Such Entries will automatically Nominate the United Way Region chosen at time of opt-In.
      3. The Eligible Participant can return to the Promotion Detail Page at any time during the Contest Period and select a new Region to nominate. This Region will be Nominated in association with future Eligible Online Ticket purchases until another Region is selected (if applicable).
    6. Entries associated with Eligible Online Tickets occurs automatically (following opt-in). It is prohibited to attempt to manually enter Eligible Online Tickets through the Contest Website; any such attempted entry will be disqualified.

  4. 5.4 NPN. In order to earn an Entry without making an eligible purchase, Eligible Participants must have a Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca Player account and take the following steps, including accepting the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations:
    1. Print, type or handwrite clearly on one (1) or more pages of 8 ½” x 11” paper (letter-size).
      1. your first name, last name, full mailing address (street, apt./suite, city/town, province/territory, postal code) and day and evening telephone number
      2. your date of birth
      3. (1) your email address as registered on your Winner’s Edge account, or (2) your email address or username as registered on your OLG.ca Player Account
      4. your nominated United Way Centraide Region as per the list set out in Section 1.
      5. your acceptance of the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations by writing the words “I agree to the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations.”
      6. a minimum one hundred (100) word, unique and original essay describing OLG’s positive contributions to Ontario over the past 50 years; and
    2. mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage) to: Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (c/o WINTARIO50 Community Contest) PO Box 60032, Etobicoke RPO Thorncrest, ON M9A 5G2 (“Request”).


      To be eligible, each Request must:

      1. be received separately in an envelope bearing sufficient postage (i.e. mass mail-in Requests in the same envelope will be void);
      2. be post-marked during the Contest Period and be received no later than August 5, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, (to allow sufficient time for processing); and,
      3. include all required information as noted above.

      Eligible Participants who correctly follow the instructions noted above will receive one (1) Entry, consisting of a Participant Entry in the Participant Prize draw and a Nomination of their selected United Way Region in the Community Prize draw for each valid NPN Request. Once the Contest Manager has received and validated the Eligible Participant’s NPN Request and Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account, the Contest Manager will submit an Entry to the user’s applicable Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account.


      Subject to the limitations set out in Section 5.7, an Eligible Participant can earn a maximum of 200 NPN Entries, consisting of:

      1. a maximum of 100 NPN Entries for valid Requests which include the Eligible Participant’s registered Winner’s Edge email address, as set out in Section 5.4(a)(iii)(1), and
      2. a maximum of 100 NPN Entries for valid Requests which include the Eligible Participant’s OLG.ca email address or user name, as set out in Section 5.4(a)(iii)(2).

      NPN Entries may take up to 48 hours from receipt to be processed by the Contest Manager. The Released Parties (defined below) take no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, lost or destroyed Requests, including any delays caused by any labour disputes related to mail delivery (all of which are void).


      In the event of a labour dispute/strike during the Contest Entry Period impacting mail delivery, please contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098 for alternative delivery method.


  5. 5.5 If the Eligible Participant no longer wishes to participate in the Contest after opting in, in accordance with Section 5.2(a)-(c) or 5.3 (a)-(f), or after submitting an NPN Request in accordance with Section 5.4, they must opt-out by contacting OLG through the “Contact Us” page or by calling 1-800-387-0098. Opting out of the Contest will result in disqualification of the former participant and the removal of all of their Entries, if applicable.

  6. 5.6 Contest Entries submitted through any method other than that described in these Rules and Regulations will be deemed invalid.

  7. 5.7 An Eligible Participant can earn a maximum total of 200 Entries, regardless of the method of Entry, and additionally subject to the following maximum number of Entries for each method:
    1. 100 Entries for Eligible In-Store Tickets, (or NPN Entries received pursuant to Section 5.4(a)(iii)(1)), and
    2. 100 Entries for Eligible Online Tickets (or NPN Entries received pursuant to Section 5.4(a)(iii)(2))

    For clarity, any purchases or NPN Requests that exceed any of the limits set out in this Section 5.7 will not generate Entries into the Contest.


  8. 5.8 All Contest Entries are subject to verification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Any Entry that cannot be verified to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor, in their sole and absolute discretion, is subject to immediate disqualification.

  9. 5.9 The Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification):
    1. for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in this Contest;
    2. for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and legitimacy of an Entry/Request entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Contest; or
    3. for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with these Rules.

    Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.


  10. 5.10 If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) use multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or disrupt this Contest; (ii) falsely enter an Eligible Ticket in accordance with Rules; (iii) re-submit an Entry a subsequent time after its first use; and/or (iv) submit an Entry that has been falsified, manipulated or otherwise altered in any way (all as determined by the Sponsor in their sole and absolute discretion); then they may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Any Entry may be rejected if, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, the entry form is not fully completed with all required information and submitted and received during the Contest Entry Period in accordance with these Rules. The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed (including as a result of any labour dispute that impacts mail delivery in Canada), incomplete or incompatible Contest Entries and/or Requests (all of which are void).

6. PRIZE DRAWS

  1. 6.1 Community Prize draws and Participant Prize draws will take place on or after August 21, 2025, from the entries received during the Contest Entry Period.

  2. 6.2 Community Prize Draws

    Twelve (12) Community Prize draws will take place by an electronic random draw from the Entries associated with the Nominations for each Region. The first two (2) draws will be for the two (2) $250,000 Prizes and the following ten (10) for the ten (10) $50,000 Community Prizes. The remaining fourteen (14) Regions will automatically receive $5,000.


    Each Region can only win one Prize. Once a Region wins a prize, no further Entries for that Region will be included in subsequent Community Prize draws.


    If a Region does not receive a minimum of one (1) Nomination, that Region will receive one (1) Entry into the Community Prize draw.


    Community Prizes will be awarded by OLG directly to United Way Centraide to distribute to the applicable Regions based on the result of the Community Prize draw. By participating in this Contest, Eligible Participants agree and acknowledge that they are not entitled to any Community Prize, and disclaim any and all right, title and interest in same. For greater certainty, under no circumstance will a Community Prize or any substitute prizing be made available to any Eligible Participant. The Community Prize is not a donation on behalf of any Eligible Participant and the Eligible Participant will not be entitled to claim any taxable benefit related to the awarding of the Community Prize by OLG. Eligible Participants fully release, discharge and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties in relation to any claims, demands or complaints related in any manner to the Community Prizes.


    A mathematical skill testing question will be required to be answered successfully prior to the awarding of a Community Prize.


  3. 6.3 Participant Prize Draws

    Twenty-six (26) Participant Prize draws will take place, one for each Region Pool, from among all eligible Entries received for the applicable Region Pool for each of the twenty-six (26) Regions.


    One (1) eligible entrant will be selected per Region Pool by an electronic random draw from among all eligible Entries received for that Region (the “Eligible Winner”). Ten (10) eligible Contest Entries will be randomly drawn per Region Pool after each Eligible Winner is drawn (“Back-up Entries”), to be used, in the order they were drawn, in the event that the selected Contest Entry initially drawn, and/or one or more of the Back-up Entries do not qualify as per the Rules.


    If a United Way Region does not receive a minimum of one (1) Nomination, the Participant Prize Draw for that United Way Region will be conducted from all eligible Entries.


7. WINNER NOTIFICATION FOR PARTICIPANT PRIZE

  1. 7.1 The Sponsor will attempt to contact the Eligible Winner at the telephone number and/or email address and/or mailing address provided with their Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account registration information for five (5) business days following the date of the draw. A minimum of five (5) attempts to contact using telephone calls and emails will be made at different times between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET. The Eligible Winner must return any message left by the Sponsor within the time frame stipulated in the message to remain eligible to receive the applicable Prize. Prize claiming details will be provided at the time of contact.

  2. 7.2 It remains the responsibility of the Eligible Participant to ensure their Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca contact information is accurate. OLG and the Contest Manager will not be responsible for any inaccurate or outdated contact information.

  3. 7.3 If the Eligible Winner cannot be contacted within five (5) business days from the date of the Sponsor’s first attempt at contact, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, then they will, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select the next available Back-up Entry according to the order in which it was drawn (in which case the foregoing provisions of this Section shall apply to such newly Eligible Winner).

    If no confirmed winner is declared after all ten (10) Back-up Entries are used in accordance with these Rules, then the applicable Prize will not be awarded in this Contest.

8. PERSONAL INFORMATION

  1. 8.1 By entering this Contest, each Eligible Participant acknowledges and authorize the Contest Parties to use collected personal information for the purpose, or consistent purpose, of administrating the Contest in accordance with the Sponsor's Privacy Policy on https://www.olg.ca/en/privacy-and-cookie-policy.html.

9. TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE

  1. 9.1 The Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitution, assignment or transfer of a Prize is permitted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and any unclaimed Prizes will not be awarded.

  2. 9.2 The Eligible Winner acknowledges that the Sponsor and all involved advertising and promotional agencies, the Contest Manager, United Way Centraide, other suppliers providing Prizes or other materials or services in connection with this Contest, anyone else involved in the development or execution of this Contest, each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and each of their respective shareholders, members, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assignees (the “Released Parties”) have not been made, nor are in any manner responsible for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize, including, but not limited to, its quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing, labour disputes impacting mail delivery service, or acts of any government or authority.

  3. 9.3 Before being declared a confirmed winner, the Eligible Winner will be required to sign and return within five (5) business days of receipt a declaration and release form, which (among other things): (a) confirms compliance with the Rules; (b) acknowledges acceptance of the applicable Prize (as awarded); (c) releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, their participation therein and the awarding of the applicable Prize; (d) agrees to the publication, reproduction or other use of their name, address, voice, statements about the Contest or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet; and (e) requires the Eligible Winner to correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without the use of any mechanical aid in order to be named the winner and receive the applicable Prize. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to administer an alternative test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.

  4. 9.4 If the Eligible Winner: (a) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the specified time; (b) cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the applicable Prize (as awarded) for any reason; (c) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question: and/or (d) is determined to be in violation of the Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in their sole and absolute discretion), then they may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to select the next available Back-up Entry according to the order in which it was drawn (in which case the foregoing provisions of this Section shall apply to such newly Eligible Winner). The Released Parties are not responsible for contacting an entrant who provided incorrect or incomplete information.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  1. 10.1 The Contest Parties reserve the right to terminate, suspend, modify or withdraw this Contest, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason without prior notice. The Contest Parties also reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates the Rules or otherwise acts in a disruptive manner. Without limiting the foregoing, the Contest Parties may declare ineligible any individual who, in the Sponsor’s or the Contest Manager’s sole judgment does not otherwise meet eligibility requirements or is otherwise in breach of these Rules.

  2. 10.2 The Sponsor reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or timeframes stipulated in the Rules, to the extent necessary, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant, Entry, or Request with the Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Sponsor in their sole and absolute discretion, affects the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in the Rules, or for any other reason. The Sponsor reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, in any way without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason whatsoever. If due to printing, production, online, internet, computer, technical or other error of any kind whatsoever, more prizes are claimed than intended to be distributed or awarded according to these Rules, then, in addition to having the right to terminate the Contest immediately, the Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to rescind invalid prize claims and/or conduct a random draw from amongst all eligible prize claimants to award the applicable Prize.

  3. 10.3 The Released Parties’ total liability will be no greater than the total value of the Prizes hereunder.

  4. 10.4 Any individual who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest or to alter or damage the Contest website may be subject to civil and/or criminal penalties and fines. The Sponsor and Contest Manager reserve the right to seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  5. 10.5 The Released Parties will not be liable for the failure of any Entry, Request or other information to be received, captured or recorded for any reason. In no event will the Released Parties be liable for more than the approximate value of one (1) Prize as stated in these Rules and do not accept responsibility, in whole or in part, for loss, damage or injury, howsoever caused in connection with the Prize or the conduct of the Contest.

  6. 10.6 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for: Entries, NPN Requests or other information lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected; or for the failure, interruption or delay of any mail or email or other communication to be received, for any reason; any computer viruses, time bombs, logic bombs and any other implanted devices of a like or similar nature that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest; problems with the function of any website or website feature howsoever caused; the malfunction of, or damage caused to, any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, data or software, online systems, servers or access providers; any functionality lost due to not having cookies enabled; traffic congestion on the Internet; the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks; for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers”; or any combination thereof, as a result of participation in this Contest.

11. GENERAL TERMS

  1. 11.1 All Contest Entries become the property of the Sponsor. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decision the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest is final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries, NPN Requests, and/or entrants. By participating in this Contest, entrants are agreeing to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of the Rules. Anyone determined to be in violation of these Rules for any reason is subject to disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor at any time.

  2. 11.2 Entries that have been obtained or made through fraudulent means are subject to disqualification. The Sponsor and Contest Manager will not be responsible for Entries that are lost, misdirected, or delayed for any reason whatsoever. An entrant is only allowed to register for a Winner’s Edge account and one OLG.ca account. More than one registration of each may invalidate all Entries submitted by the person who created the duplicate account(s) and each such account may be disqualified, in the Sponsor’s and Contest Manager’s sole discretion. None of the accounts deemed, in the Sponsor’s and Contest Manager’s sole discretion, to have been entered by this person will be eligible to win any Prize.

  3. 11.3 If the identity of a participant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account submitted with the Contest Entry in question will be deemed to be the participant for the purposes of the Contest. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. An Eligible Winner may be required to provide proof that they are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Contest Entry in question and is otherwise required to meet all eligibility requirements set out in these Rules.

  4. 11.4 Eligible Participants agree that a photo or video, name, and residence (town/city and province only) of the Prize winner may be posted, published, or announced on the Contest website, the OLG website, and/or other media or social media after the selected Eligible Participant is confirmed as a winner, and that they will receive no compensation for such posting, publication, or announcement.

  5. 11.5 In the event of any conflict with any provisions contained in these Rules or Contest details contained in any form of promotional material or media (“Contest Materials”), these Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the extent of the conflict.

  6. 11.6 Draw date is subject to change without notice.

  7. 11.7 All winning Entries for the Contest will be destroyed by the Contest Manager on or after three (3) years from the corresponding draw date, with all other Entries for the Contest being destroyed by the Contest Manager in accordance with the Sponsor’s document retention policies.

  8. 11.8 This Contest is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario and the Federal laws of Canada as applicable.

  9. 11.9 The insertion of subheadings in these Rules are for convenience and reference purposes only and will not affect the construction or interpretation of these Rules. All sums of money that are referred to in these Rules are expressed in the lawful money of Canada. References to “discretion”, “sole discretion”, or “solely” mean the absolute, sole, unqualified, subjective discretion of the party having or exercising such discretion. In the event any part of these Rules is found to be void or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remainder of these Rules shall operate to the fullest extent permissible by law.

  10. 11.10 All times and dates refer to Eastern Time ("ET").

  11. 11.11 These Rules govern this Contest and must be complied with. By agreeing to participate in the Contest, all participants agree to comply with, and be legally bound by these Rules.

  12. 11.12 The Contest is not a game under the eligible WINTARIO50 lottery game and any conditions specific to these games, including ticket expiry date, do not apply to this Contest or these Rules.
