Once your subscription is in place, the first ticket is purchased immediately.
For your upcoming draws, we will attempt to buy tickets the day after each draw around 8 a.m. or 4 p.m. (for PICKS’ and DAILY KENO evening draws).
Direct Pay subscriptions will come straight from your credit card.
My Balance subscriptions will charge your e-wallet, so make sure your balance has enough to cover the ticket price.
Note: Your subscription will automatically cancel if four consecutive draws are missed due to insufficient funds.
GET TO KNOW YOUR LOTTERY SUBSCRIPTION
An OLG Online Lottery Subscription allows you to purchase selections for future draws, paying as you go so you never forget to buy your ticket.
Select the number of draws (up to 999) you want to play or choose ‘Never Miss a Draw’ to continue playing until you decide to cancel. You can select your own numbers or have your numbers chosen randomly with ‘Auto Pick.’
Two payment options are available:
DIRECT PAY: Avoid cash advance fees and pay for your subscription directly from your VISA, Mastercard, VISA debit or Mastercard debit. You can easily manage your subscription without worrying about your balance.
MY BALANCE: Use funds deposited into your OLG.ca account e-wallet to pay for your subscription. You must have enough cash in your e-wallet before each draw. Banks may charge cash-advance fees with this option.
Your subscription will automatically cancel if four consecutive draws are missed due to insufficient funds.
Yes. Your future tickets will have the same set of main draw numbers as your first subscription ticket whether you manually picked your numbers or used the Auto Pick option.
If you have Lottery Bonus Funds and want to use them, please complete your purchase using the My Balance option. We’ll use your Bonus Funds first and then use your Cash Wallet to fund the remainder of the purchase.
If there aren’t enough funds in your Cash or Lottery Bonus balance to purchase a ticket for the next draw, your transaction will not be completed.
You’ll be prompted to deposit funds into your account and OLG can re-attempt the purchase every day around 8 a.m. and around 4 p.m. (for PICKS’ and DAILY KENO’s evening draw).
If there are issues with the credit card associated with your Direct Pay purchase, your transaction will not be completed. You may use an alternative credit card by storing up to three on your account or deposit funds into your wallet. Click here to learn more about Subscriptions.
Yes. You can pay for your subscriptions using any available method. You can also store up to 3 different credit cards on your account OR use My Balance to pay for your subscriptions.

Step 1: Log in to your account
Step 2: Navigate to My Transaction History OR 'My Subscriptions' of your profile’s drop-down menu
Step 3: Select ‘View Lottery Transactions’
Step 4: Find the Subscription ID for the subscription you want to update payment method.
Step 5: Within the ‘Subscription Details’ page, select ‘Manage Payments’
Step 6: Choose the new payment method you would like to use or add a new card
Step 7: Select ‘Update’ and consent to the new subscription payment method
Please note, by following the steps above, you do not need to make a deposit in order to change your card.
- Go to My Account > My Transaction History > Lottery > Subscriptions.
- Choose the subscription you want to cancel and click ‘Cancel subscription’ under Subscription Details.

The first ticket is purchased when you sign up for a lottery subscription and the subsequent tickets will be subject to the following schedules:
LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, ONTARIO 49, and DAILY GRAND
- The automatic purchase begins approximately at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time starting from the day after the draw, with the last attempt being on the day of the draw, approximately at 8:00 a.m.
- For the midday draw, the first automatic purchase begins at approximately 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time and the last at approximately 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
- For the evening draw, the first automatic purchase begins at approximately 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time and the last at approximately 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Your Lottery Subscription may not have been processed due to one of the following reasons:
You had insufficient funds in your e-wallet for the next draw if using My Balance. If sufficient funds are deposited within the automatic purchase window, we’ll attempt to fulfill your subscription.
With Direct Pay you are only charged for tickets that are successfully purchased. Please note that funds could be reserved on your card. These funds are generally released immediately, but for some financial institutions, it could take up to 3-5 business days. You can contact your card issuer for further details.
You can try to purchase any tickets that were unsuccessful again, but they will be billed as part of a separate transaction.
You reached your Lottery Purchase Limit for the week. Once your Lottery Purchase Limit resets, your subscription will automatically continue to purchase tickets for the upcoming draws.
Your Lottery Subscription may have been automatically paused due to the following reason:
You took a break using ‘My PlaySmart’. Don’t worry! Your subscription will resume once you log in after your break is over.
Your Lottery Subscription may have been automatically cancelled due to one of the following reasons:
You had insufficient funds for four consecutive draws.
Your OLG account has been closed.

Unfortunately, no. If you subscribe to our PICKS Games or DAILY KENO, your tickets will be purchased for all upcoming daily midday and evening draws, until your subscription is completed or cancelled.
Advance Play is only offered in retail locations and allows you to buy tickets for up to 26 weeks on a wider selection of games.
No, a Free Play does not replace your subscription purchase. Any Free Play is considered an additional play that is above and beyond any plays purchased for your Subscription. If you don’t have sufficient funds in your account to fulfil your subscription, a Free Play will not take the place of your subscription play.
