COMBINATION PLAY WITH LOTTO 6/49

Winning on a Combination Play ticket is the same as winning on a regular ticket – but because you have multiple sets of numbers, you can win multiple prizes.

You can play five-, seven-, eight- and nine-number Combination Plays.

For every unique selection you receive for the Classic Draw, you also receive a 10-digit Gold Ball Draw Number.

Play up to 10 draws in advance.

Tickets are sold until 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Time) on draw nights.

HOW TO PLAY COMBINATIONS

Use a LOTTO 649 Combination Play selection slip to choose your options in store

On the LOTTO 6/49 - ONTARIO 49 Combination Play Selection Slip*, choose the game(s) you want to play: LOTTO 6/49, ONTARIO 49, or BOTH.

Mark the five, seven, eight or nine numbers from 1 to 49 you want to combine. The numbers will automatically be arranged into various combinations of six numbers. For every combination, you'll also get one Gold Ball Draw Number.

If you want to play for more than one draw, mark the number of draws in the Advance Play box. 

If you would like to play ENCORE, mark the number of ENCORE plays you would like to add to your ticket. Each play costs $1.

Six numbers and one Bonus number are drawn for the LOTTO 6/49 Classic Draw. Match the numbers drawn to win.

A 10-digit number is drawn for the Gold Ball Draw. You must exactly match the 10-digit Gold Ball Draw Number to win either the Gold Ball Jackpot OR a $1 million prize.

*The LOTTO 6/49-ONTARIO 49 Combination Play Selection Slip is different from the regular LOTTO 6/49-ONTARIO 49 Selection Slip.

COMBINATION PLAY 

When you choose a five-number Combination Play, the five numbers from 1 to 49 that you select remain consistent for every combination. The remaining 44 numbers are each, in turn, used as your 6th selection - giving you a total of 44 possible combinations for the Classic Draw and 44 Gold Ball Draw Numbers.

For example, if you choose 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 as your five-number play

…and so on until all possible 44 combinations are created from the original five numbers selected.

You will receive a single ticket from the retailer that will show the five numbers you selected. All possible combinations, however, will be recorded in the central computer.

Your 44 Gold Ball Draw Numbers will be shown as a range of numbers, with the same first eight digits and the last two digits ranging from 01 to 44.

Example: 13524678-01 TO 13524678-44 

You must exactly match the ten-digit Gold Ball Draw Number to win either the Gold Ball Jackpot OR a $1 million prize.

When you choose a seven-number Combination Play the seven numbers from 1 to 49 you select are arranged in combinations of six numbers giving you 7 unique sets of numbers for the Classic Draw, and Gold Ball Draw Numbers.

For example, if you choose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 as your seven-number selection, the seven combinations would be:

Your 7 Gold Ball Draw selections will be shown as a range of numbers, with the same first eight digits and the last two digits ranging from 01 to 07.

You must exactly match the ten-digit Gold Ball Draw Number to win either the Gold Ball Jackpot OR a $1 million prize. 

When you choose an eight-number Combination Play, the eight numbers from 1 to 49 you select are arranged in combinations of six numbers giving you 28 unique sets of numbers for the Classic Draw and 28 Gold Ball Draw Numbers.

For example, if you choose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 as your eight-number selection, the 28 different combinations would be:

 



…and so on until all possible 28 combinations are created from the original eight numbers selected.

You will receive a single ticket from the retailer that will show the eight numbers you selected. All possible combinations, however, will be recorded in the central computer.

Your 28 Gold Ball Draw Numbers will be shown as a range of numbers, with the same first eight digits and the last two digits ranging from 01 to 28.

You must exactly match the ten-digit Gold Ball Draw Number to win either the Gold Ball Jackpot OR a $1 million prize.

When you choose a nine-number Combination Play, the nine numbers from 1 to 49 you select are arranged in combinations of six numbers giving you 84 unique sets of numbers for the Classic Draw and 84 Gold Ball Draw Numbers.

For example, if you choose 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 as your nine-number selection, the 84 different combinations would be:

You will receive a single ticket from the retailer that will show the nine numbers you selected. All possible combinations, however, will be recorded in the central computer.

Your 84 Gold Ball Draw Numbers will be shown as a range of numbers, with the same first eight digits and the last two digits ranging from 01 to 84.
