1 Introduction

  1. 1.1 These Promotion Specific Terms (the “Promotion Specific Terms”) contain the specific terms and conditions which govern the “14 Days of Play Sweepstakes” promotion (the “Promotion”). By opting-in to this Promotion, a Player, Prospective Player, Intending Player, or any other user (as applicable) (all the foregoing, hereinafter an “Individual”) is confirming that they understand, accept, and agree to be bound by these Promotion Specific Terms which govern this Promotion.
  2. 1.2 By Opting-In in accordance with Section 6.1 or by submitting a Request to OLG in accordance with Section 6.4, the Eligible Participant confirms that they understand, accept and agree that, if the Eligible Participant becomes an Eligible Winner, OLG may publish the first name and last name initials of the Eligible Participant, their town/city, the Prize(s) they have won and the date on which such Prize(s) were won, without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of OLG in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet on OLG.ca. If the Eligible Participant does not agree with the foregoing in this Section 1.2, they are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
  3. 1.3 This Promotion is subject to the General Terms which may be found here. The General Terms are hereby incorporated into and form part of these Promotion Specific Terms. Any conflict or inconsistency between these Promotion Specific Terms and the General Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the General Terms, unless otherwise specified in these Promotion Specific Terms in accordance with Section 1.4 of the General Terms. Any capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the General Terms.
  4. 1.4 The General Terms contain the terms and conditions that govern, among other things, Merged Bonuses, Wager Requirements, Wager Periods, and Qualifying Requirements. If an Individual does not agree with these Promotion Specific Terms of the General Terms, they must (i) not opt in to the Promotion; or (ii) immediately opt-out of the Promotion.
  5. 1.5 This Promotion is intended to be conducted separately and with a distinct set of Promotion Specific Terms from all other promotions being administered by OLG.

2 Promotion Eligibility

  1. 2.1 The Promotion is available in Ontario only and only to those residing in Ontario who (at the time of participation):
    1. are nineteen 19 years of age or older;
    2. have a valid Player Account on OLG.ca that is in good standing in accordance with the Player Agreement and has not been archived, self-excluded, deactivated or placed on a break; and
    3. have been selected by OLG, in its sole and absolute discretion, based on the Player’s past play on OLG.ca (each, an “Eligible Participant” and collectively, “Eligible Participants”).

    Volunteers, employees, officers and directors of OLG, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and any of OLG’s advertising, promotion and contest management agencies are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

  2. 2.2 In the event that an Individual does not meet the eligibility requirements as set forth herein, OLG has the right, in its sole discretion, to reject or disqualify the Individual from participating in this Promotion. The disqualified Individual will not be entitled to any Bonus, Entry, or any other substitute benefit due to such disqualification.

3 Promotion Period

  1. 3.1 This Promotion commences on June 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. EST and ends on June 26, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EST (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. 3.2 An Eligible Participant may earn Entries (as defined in Section 6.3) for this Promotion from the time they successfully Opt-in to the Promotion in accordance with Section 6.3 until June 26, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (“Entry Period”). An Eligible Participant cannot earn any Entry for this Promotion outside of the Entry Period.

4 Odds, No Purchase Necessary

  1. 4.1 The odds of winning a Prize in this Promotion vary depending on number of Entries received by OLG during the Promotion Period.
  2. 4.2 THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROMOTION.

5 Prizes

  1. 5.1 There is a total of fifteen (15) prizes available to be won in this Promotion as described below (each a “Prize” and collectively the “Prizes”):

  2. 5.2 An Eligible Participant is eligible to win the Grand Prize and each Daily Prize during the Entry Period.
  3. 5.3 Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded.
  4. 5.4 In the event a Prize cannot be awarded as originally contemplated by these Promotion Specific Terms for circumstances outside of OLG’s control, OLG may, in its discretion, substitute a Prize of equal or greater approximate retailer value. No substitutions are to be made except at OLG’s election. Except as specifically provided herein, an unclaimed Prize will not be awarded.

6 How to Participate

  1. 6.1 How to Opt-In: To enter this Promotion, an Eligible Participant must first opt-in (“Opt-In”) to the Promotion during the Promotion Period as follows:
    1. Eligible Participants must log-in to their Player Account;
    2. Eligible Participants must navigate to the “Promotions Lobby” and opt-in to the Promotion by selecting “Opt In” on the promotion tile (“Promotion Tile”) or an Eligible Participant may navigate to the “Promotion Detail Page” and select the “Opt-In” button;
    3. Eligible Participants may only Opt-In to the Promotion one (1) time;
    4. Upon opting-in, Eligible Participants will be presented a notification indicating that their Opt-In was successful. The Promotion Tile will then appear in the Eligible Participant’s “Your Active Promotions” section of their Player Account.
  2. 6.2 Upon a successful Opting-In to this Promotion, Eligible Participants may start earning Entries. If the Eligible Participant no longer wishes to participate in the Promotion after completing the steps set out in Section 6.1, they must opt-out from the Promotion by contacting Player Support through the “Contact Us” page by June 27 at 10:00 a.m, EST.
  3. 6.3 How to Earn Entries: An Eligible Participant who has Opted-In in accordance with Section 6.1 will earn entries for this Promotion (each, an "Entry", and collectively, the "Entries") by using Unutilized Funds to wager or purchase a ticket(s) ("Spend") in respect of a Game, during the Entry Period, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out below:
    1. An Eligible Participant will earn one (1) Entry for each calendar day during the Entry Period in which they Spend, in aggregate, a minimum amount of ten dollars ($10.00) ("Spend") on Game(s) from one or more of the following categories:
      1. Casino-style Pay-to-Play Games found under the “Casino Lobby” on OLG.ca, including tables, slots, jackpots, instants, video poker, and Live Casino Games (collectively, the "Casino Category");
      2. The Sports Betting Game Played Online, PROLINE+ ("PROLINE+ Category"); and/or
      3. Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online ("Lottery Category,") together with the Casino Category and the PROLINE+ Categories, the "Game Categories,").

    2. Each Entry earned as contemplated in this Section 6.3a is eligible for the Daily Prize applicable to the day the Entry was earned, as well as the Grand Prize Draw.

    3. Bonus Entries for Cross-Category Play: Provided the Eligible Participant has earned at least one Entry as contemplated by Section 6.3a, an Eligible Participant will earn an additional ten (10) Entries at the end of the Promotion Period if they Spend on Games from all three of the Game Categories, by the end of the Promotion Period, regardless of the amount of Spend. Bonus Entries contemplated in this Section 6.3b are only eligible for the Grand Prize Draw.
    4. An Eligible Participant may earn a maximum of: (i) one (1) Entry per calendar day during the Entry Period in respect of the Daily Prize Draw; and (ii) twenty-four (24) Entries during the Entry Period in respect of the Grand Prize Draw.
    5. For the avoidance of doubt, if an Eligible Participant has an active subscription(s) for Draw-Based Lottery Games Played Online and Opts-In to the Promotion during the Promotion Period, only tickets they Spend during the Entry Period contribute towards earning Entries. Tickets for future draws that Eligible Participants Spend outside the Entry Period are not eligible for Entries in this Promotion.
    6. Any wager on or purchase of tickets for Games that are not part of the Game Categories will not qualify for Entry into this Promotion. OLG, in its sole discretion, shall determine whether a given wager or purchase is eligible for Entry.
  4. 6.4 No Purchase Necessary Option: An Eligible Participant is not required to make any purchase or wager any Unutilized Funds to participate in this Promotion. If an Eligible Participant wishes to participate in this Promotion without such purchase or wager, they may:
    1. Print their first name, last name, telephone number and complete mailing address (including postal code) on a plain white piece of paper and mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage) along with a one hundred (100) or more word, unique and original handwritten, essay (the "Essay") on why they like a particular online casino slot game or favorite sport on PROLINE+ or particular Lottery games to: Digital Product Management – Retention, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, OLG.ca, 4120 Yonge Street, North York, ON M2P 2B8 (the "Request"). The Essay must include the Eligible Participant's OLG.ca username and address as registered on the Eligible Participant's Player Account. Each Request will be deemed to have been made on the day it was received by OLG.
    2. To be eligible to earn an Entry, any Request that an Eligible Participant submits must: (i) be received separately, each in a separate envelope each bearing sufficient postage (e.g., multiple Requests in the same envelope will be void); (ii) be post-marked during the Promotion Period and received by OLG during the Promotion Period; and (iii) specify the name of this Promotion, “The 14 Days of Play Sweepstakes.” Requests that do not meet the requirements contemplated in this Section 6.4b are not eligible to earn Entries.
    3. The Eligible Participant will earn one (1) Entry for each unique Essay submitted in accordance with this Section 6.4. Entries will be included in the Daily Prize Draw in respect of the day in which they are received by OLG and the Grand Prize draw at the end of the Promotion Period. Eligible Participants may earn ten (10) additional entries for the Grand Prize Draw if they submit an essay for all three categories: Casino, Lottery and Sports games.
    4. An Eligible Participant may earn a maximum of: (i) one (1) Entry per calendar day during the Entry Period in respect of the Daily Prize Draw; and (ii) twenty-four (24) Entries during the Entry Period in respect of the Grand Prize Draw.
    5. In no event can an Eligible Participant combine Requests and the purchase/wager option of obtaining Entries to exceed the amount of Entries noted in either of Sections 6.3c or 6.4c.

7 Selection Process

  1. 7.1 First Week Daily Prize Draws: On June 20, 2022 at approximately 2:00 p.m. EST in Toronto, Ontario, an Eligible Winner will be selected by a random draw, in accordance with Section 7.5a, from all eligible Entries received by OLG in respect of each calendar day from June 13, 2022 to June 19, 2022 ("First Week"). For certainty, a total of seven draws will be conducted on June 20, 2022 with the intention of selecting one Eligible Winner of a Daily Prize in respect of each calendar day during the First Week.
  2. 7.2 Second Week Daily Prize Draws: On June 27, 2022 at approximately 2:00 p.m. EST in Toronto, Ontario, an Eligible Winner will be selected by a random draw, in accordance with Section 7.5a, from all eligible Entries received by OLG in respect of each calendar day from June 20, 2022 to June 26, 2022 ("Second Week"). For certainty, a total of seven draws will be conducted on June 27, 2022 with the intention of selecting one Eligible Winner of a Daily Prize in respect of each calendar day during the Second Week.
  3. 7.3 Grand Prize Draw: On June 27, 2022 at approximately 2:00 p.m. EST in Toronto, Ontario, three (3) Eligible Participants will be selected by a random draw, in accordance with Section 7.5b, from all eligible Entries, including bonus Entries, received by OLG during the Promotion Period.
  4. 7.4 For the purpose of the Promotion Specific Terms, an "Eligible Winner" is the earliest Selected Participant that has not been disqualified pursuant to the Promotion Specific Terms and is eligible to redeem a Prize, subject to Section 8.
  5. 7.5 The selection of Eligible Winners shall be determined as follows (each selected Eligible Participant, a "Selected Participant"):
    1. Daily Prize Draws
      1. The first selected Eligible Participant drawn in respect of each calendar day of the Promotion Period as contemplated in Sections 7.1 and 7.2 will be the Eligible Winner for the Daily Prize for the applicable calendar day.
      2. The next two (2) Eligible Participants drawn as contemplated in Sections 7.1 and 7.2 will act as back-up entries ("Back-up Entry") in the event that the first Selected Participant in respect of each Daily Prize cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, or fails to complete the Skill-testing Question. The Back-Up Entry will replace the disqualified Selected Participants in descending in accordance with the order in which the Back-Up Entries were drawn. If the Selected Participant and Back-up Entries cannot be contacted, are found to be ineligible, or fail to complete the Skill-testing Question, additional draws will be conducted until an Eligible Winner is selected or there are no further Entries to draw from. In the event no Eligible Winner has been selected and there are no further Entries to draw from, no Daily Prize will be awarded for the applicable calendar day.
    2. Grand Prize Draw
      1. The first selected Eligible Participant in respect of the Grand Draw Prize contemplated in Section 7.3 will be the Eligible Winner for the Grand Prize.
      2. The next two (2) Eligible Participants drawn as contemplated in Section 6.7 will act as Back-up Entries in the event that the first Selected Participant for the Grand Prize cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, or fails to complete the Skill-testing Question. The Back-Up Entry will replace the disqualified Selected Participants in descending order starting with the Grand Prize in accordance with the order in which the Back-Up Entries were drawn. If the Selected Participant and Back-up Entries cannot be contacted, are found to be ineligible, or fail to complete the Skill-testing Question, additional draws will be conducted until an Eligible Winner is selected or there are no further Entries to draw from. In the event no Eligible Winner has been selected and there are no further Entries to draw from, no Grand Prize will be awarded.

8 Prize Redemption and Skill Testing Question

  1. 8.1 For the purpose of the Promotion Specific Terms, a “Winner” is an Eligible Winner who redeems the Prize by first completing the following requirements within timelines prescribed by OLG:
    1. the Eligible Winner must follow the instructions on claiming the Prize in accordance with Section 8.2;
    2. the Eligible Winner must confirm receipt of the OLG notification that he/she is the Eligible Winner in accordance with Section 8.3;
    3. if applicable, the Eligible Winner must satisfy the requirements in Section 8.5;
    4. if applicable, the Eligible Winner must satisfy the requirements in Section 8.6; and
    5. the Eligible Winner must correctly answer the Skill-Testing Question in accordance with Section 8.7.
  2. 8.2 An Eligible Winner will be initially notified of their status as an Eligible Winner and to arrange for redemption of the Prize by email according to the contact information associated with their Player Account within forty-eight (48) hours of the time of a Daily Prize Draw or the Grand Prize Draw. This notification will include a Skill-Testing Question as contemplated in Section 8.7. The second attempt will be made two (2) days after the first attempt and the third attempt will be made within five (5) days after the second attempt. The second and third notification attempts will be made either by email or telephone according to the Eligible Winner’s contact information associated with their Player Account. The Eligible Winner will be required to follow the instructions on claiming the Prize detailed in such email to remain eligible for this Promotion.
  3. 8.3 The Eligible Winner must confirm receipt of the OLG notification that they are the Eligible Winner, according to the instructions provided by OLG in its notification, within ten (10) days from the first attempt of contact to claim the Prize (“Prize Acknowledgement Deadline”). If the Eligible Winner fails to do so, they may lose any entitlement to the Prize and OLG reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select a new Eligible Winner from the eligible Back-Up Entries that were received in accordance with Section 7.5 (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly selected Eligible Winner).
  4. 8.4 OLG will use reasonable efforts to notify the Selected Participants by telephone, email or mail, each of which according to the contact information registered on their Player Account, that they are an Eligible Winner and to arrange for the fulfilment of their Prize.
  5. 8.5 An Eligible Winner, when instructed by OLG, must execute, and return OLG's standard declaration and release form which, among other matters:
    1. confirms their eligibility and compliance with the Promotion Specific Terms;
    2. acknowledges acceptance of the applicable Prize (as awarded);
    3. releases OLG from liability in connection with the conduct of the Promotion and/or the awarding of the Prize; and
    4. agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of their name, address, voice, statements about the Promotion and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of OLG in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.
  6. 8.6 In order to claim the Prize, the Eligible Winner may be required to present a valid government issued photo identification. If the Eligible Winner fails to do so, the applicable Prize may not be awarded and OLG has no obligation to award any substitute prizes or rewards.
  7. 8.7 An Eligible Winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question (the “Skill-Testing Question”) without mechanical or other aid in order to claim the Prize. The Skill-Testing Question will be communicated to the Eligible Winner as part of the initial notification of the Eligible Winner’s status as Eligible Winner contemplated in Section 8.2. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, OLG may, in its sole and absolute discretion, administer an alternate test of skill as required to comply with applicable law (including applicable accessibility legislation).
  8. 8.8 If an Eligible Winner fails to respond to OLG in accordance with any of the instructions provided in a communication to the Eligible Winner, or if the Eligible Winner fails to correctly answer the Skill-Testing Question within the timeframes detailed by OLG, the Eligible Winner may be disqualified from the Promotion at OLG’s sole and absolute discretion.

9 General Terms

  1. 9.1 OLG reserves the right to deny an Entry or reject an Entry once accepted, for any reason which, in its sole judgment and discretion, it deems proper.
