Home Ice Advantage | Toronto Maple Leafs and OLG
OLG and the Toronto Maple Leafs are celebrating organizations that provide inclusive and empowering spaces for their communities to succeed – no matter the cost. Because we believe that everyone deserves to have a Home Ice Advantage, and with 100% of OLG profits going back to community groups like these, everyone does.

ORGANIZATION FEATURES:

Started in 1993, the Women’s Hockey Club of Toronto (WHCT) is an adult recreational, non-bodychecking ice hockey league open to women who are lesbian, bisexual, queer, trans, two-spirited, nonbinary or allied. All players are welcome regardless of skill level – beginners just learning to play, mid-range and experienced players. The WHCT is believed to be the only queer women’s hockey league in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

Donations made by OLG and the Toronto Maple Leafs will keep costs affordable and accessible for the Women’s Hockey Club of Toronto and queer community.

Indigenous Sport & Wellness Ontario (ISWO) is the designated Provincial/Territorial Aboriginal Sporting Body (P/TASB) for Ontario, serving all Indigenous Peoples across the province. The organization plans, delivers and supports tournaments, workshops and events for Indigenous youth across Ontario. Year after year, ISWO continues to prove that sport has the power to change lives, improve wellness, promote culture and provide opportunities for personal growth and community development.

Donations made by OLG and the Toronto Maple Leafs break down the barriers to sport for our Indigenous athletes by assisting with athlete development camps and helping our Team Ontario athletes achieve their goals to attend the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Kamloops, BC, in May 2025.

Established in 1972, the Toronto Ice Owls are the oldest blind hockey team in the world, bringing together people who are blind or partially sighted through weekly programming throughout the year. The Ice Owls goal is to involve as many people as possible in the sport of blind hockey, building a community on and off the ice.

Donations made by OLG and the Toronto Maple Leafs will help subsidize annual player registration fees; provide equipment for players and cover yearly ice rental costs to support its blind hockey program. The donation also helps The Toronto Ice Owls offset travel costs when they showcase blind hockey outside of Toronto or on the road.
