Self-Exclusion starts with a commitment to stop gaming for a pre-determined amount of time of your choosing (with options ranging from six months to five years).
While self-excluded:
- You will not have access to your account.
- Your lottery subscriptions will be cancelled, and you’ll no longer receive marketing emails until you choose to resubscribe.
- Any funds in your account will be returned to you upon request.
- As part of OLG’s efforts to support your choice, self-excluded individuals are not permitted to win prizes.
You may choose to return to gambling once your term is finished or extend your self-exclusion.
Upon completion of this Self-Exclusion registration process, OLG will provide a downloadable and printable PDF package confirming my successful registration. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to download, save, and/or print this package for my records. This package includes:
- Information about my option to voluntarily self-exclude from OLG's land-based casino and slots gambling sites
- The toll-free phone number for ConnexOntario and further resources on responsible gambling.
If you have an outstanding balance on your player account after having enrolled in Self-Exclusion you are required to contact OLG Support Centre to request the withdrawal of your balance. OLG Support Centre can be reached at 1-800-387-0098. Upon such request, OLG will withdraw the balance owed in your OLG Internet Gaming account at the time of Self-Exclusion, according to OLG policies. Any outstanding bets, winnings accrued from outstanding bets, refundable entry fees, rewards points and bonus balances eligible for cash redemption will be refunded in accordance with OLG policies.
Consent For Release Of Personal Information

Personal information collected in relation to your participation in the Self-Exclusion program is collected pursuant to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Act, 1999 and the Gaming Control Act, 1992. This information will be used for: managing the Self-Exclusion program and your participation in the program, which may include integration with other OLG Responsible Gambling programs; making changes to your Internet Gaming Account; managing and sending OLG communications to you under the program; evaluating the program’s effectiveness; and disclosing your contact information to gambling researchers if you have consented to sharing it with them. This information will be stored in databases by or on behalf of OLG for the purpose of maintaining your status as a self-excluded person and will be accessible to those employees of OLG (or its third-party OLG Internet Gaming service providers) responsible for carrying out the Self-Exclusion program. For further information about OLG’s privacy practices for OLG Internet Gaming, please refer to the OLG Privacy Policy, which is available on OLG.ca. You may also contact OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 should you have any questions or complaints about OLG’s handling or management of your personal information collected on this form.
I confirm that the name, date of birth and contact information that appears on this form is valid and up to date.
I understand and acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure that my name and contact information remain correct and up to date during my Term of Exclusion. I will need to contact OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 to update my Player Account if my information has changed.
Termination of Self-Exclusion and Conditions to Resume Gaming
I acknowledge that, when my selected term expires, I will no longer be considered Self-Excluded.
I further acknowledge that, if I wish to renew my selected Self-Exclusion term once it has expired or extend the period prior to the expiry date, I will need to contact OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098.
I further acknowledge that, if I wish to resume gaming on OLG.ca after my selected term has expired and I have been removed from the Self-Exclusion Program, I will need to contact OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 to re-activate my OLG Internet Gaming account.
I acknowledge that a copy of this agreement will be available for me to download at the end of this process. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to download, save, and/or print this package for my records.
THE PURPOSE OF SELF-EXCLUSION
This program is a voluntary self-help tool (“Self-Exclusion”) that offers players the opportunity to exclude themselves from playing on Ontario Lottery and Gaming’s (“OLG”) Internet Gaming website, OLG.ca (including OLG’s internet gaming mobile application(s)) (“OLG Internet Gaming”).
Based on experience and evidence gathered from gamblers, gambling clinicians, and academic researchers, OLG recommends combining participation in Self-Exclusion with other supports, such as gambling treatment programs, financial counselling, and relationship counselling. Taken together, these steps can help an individual to control his or her gambling behaviour. Because the success of the program depends on an individual’s own personal commitment not to gamble, the person who enters Self-Exclusion remains solely responsible for his or her own gambling.
This program is available to all OLG Internet Gaming players, regardless of their history or pattern of play. Any player has the option to enter the program for any reason whatsoever
My Obligations
Within this agreement, the term “OLG” shall be used to refer to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the Province of Ontario, third-party service providers which provide OLG products and/or services related to OLG Internet Gaming, and each of their respective agents, employees, officers and directors (past, present, and future).
I ask to be placed on OLG's list of OLG Internet Gaming self-excluded persons (the “List”).
I acknowledge that it is solely my responsibility to refrain from visiting the OLG Internet Gaming website and gambling on OLG.ca for the duration of my self-exclusion (whether through a desktop computer, mobile application or device, or otherwise). I acknowledge that the List applies only to OLG Internet Gaming products and services.
I understand and acknowledge that I am now ineligible to wager on any games on OLG.ca, using the account information that I have provided to OLG, or to participate in any OLG Internet Gaming players’ programs and promotional offers. I will not participate in any future OLG Internet Gaming events or tournaments in which I am currently registered or scheduled to play. I understand and acknowledge that any lottery subscriptions that have not yet been fulfilled will be cancelled.
I understand and acknowledge that by registering in the Self-Exclusion program I am not permitted to purchase lottery tickets online through OLG.ca or to win associated lottery prizes. I understand and acknowledge that it is my responsibility and decision whether or not to seek treatment or counselling, and not the responsibility and decision of OLG
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I acknowledge that participating in the Self-Exclusion program is my choice. As a condition of my participation in this voluntary program, I agree not to sue OLG for any reason arising directly or indirectly from my participation in the Self-Exclusion program.
I understand, acknowledge and agree that aside from OLG's specific obligations set out in this form, OLG owes me no responsibility or obligation to prevent me from accessing OLG Internet Gaming, to prevent or remove my access to OLG Internet Gaming if I try to access the website, or to stop me from gambling in any other manner or forum.
OLG is providing me with a valuable service by placing me on the List and undertaking the other specific obligations set out in this form. In return, I agree to release and not to sue OLG (or any third party who may claim contribution or indemnity from OLG) for any claims or causes of action that I have or may have, arising out of any act or omission by OLG if I gamble in any manner, on the OLG Internet Gaming website or elsewhere. This release shall include any form of harm or loss including, but not limited to, any financial loss, physical injury, or emotional distress of any kind. This release will apply to any kind of act or omission by OLG relating to my continued gambling, including without limitation intentional, reckless, or negligent acts or omissions. This release is intended to apply as broadly as possible to any and all potential liability of OLG in respect of the subject matter of this agreement, including but not limited to, my continued gambling of any kind.
For greater certainty, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, I agree that I cannot recover, and release any claim in respect of, any gambling losses that I may incur if I continue to gamble and lose. I am solely responsible for my gambling.
I acknowledge that if, contrary to my obligations under this form, I gamble on the OLG Internet Gaming website and win, OLG shall have no obligation to pay out any winnings and I release any claims in respect of such gambling winnings.
I acknowledge that, by enrolling in the Self-Exclusion program, I consent to having personal information needed to identify me stored in a database and disclosed to the employees of OLG and OLG's third-party OLG Internet Gaming service providers and its employees who need this information to carry out their duties related to managing the Self-Exclusion program. I further acknowledge and consent that no breach of privacy, confidentiality or any other cause of action or claim will arise as a result.
I have read and I understand the waivers and releases of liability set out in this form.
I acknowledge that I have had the opportunity to obtain independent legal advice before consenting to register in the Self-Exclusion program
ROLE OF OLG
Upon your registration in the Self-Exclusion program, your OLG Internet Gaming account will be suspended.
OLG will record my registration in the Self-Exclusion program within my player profile. This may affect future communications made by OLG.
OLG will, within 30 days, remove me from OLG’s marketing communication lists. I understand, however, that I may receive marketing materials to the extent that communications have already been initiated and cannot be stopped, and to the extent such communications are sent to the public at large. I may also receive marketing or advertisements aimed to the population at large or various segments of it, or to anyone with whom I share an address who has signed up to receive such communications.
Completed lottery ticket purchases will not be refunded. In the event that a lottery ticket purchase completed prior to registering in the Self-Exclusion program is determined to be a winning ticket, any prizes associated with that ticket will be paid in accordance with OLG prize claim procedures.
LIMITATIONS OF THE PROGRAM
I understand that being placed on the List does not result in Self-Exclusion from any casinos, slots facilities, or charitable gaming centres, and that OLG does not assume, in connection with this Self-Exclusion form, any responsibility to prohibit me from entering, or to remove me from, any such casino, slot facility, or charitable gaming centres. If I wish to self-exclude from any of these other facilities I must contact OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098 and/or follow the instructions under “Registration in Land Based Self-Exclusion Programs”, below.
This form and the OLG.ca Player Agreement – Terms and Conditions of Use for OLG.ca constitute my entire agreement with OLG. OLG has not made and I do not rely on any representations to me about the List or the Self-Exclusion program outside of this form.
This form and the Program are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
I have read this “Request to be Placed on the Internet Gaming Self-Exclusion List and Release” and understand all of its terms. By clicking on “Initiate Self-Exclusion” I agree to these terms, and do so voluntarily and with full knowledge of their consequences and significance and hereby request to be placed on the OLG Internet Gaming Self-Exclusion List.
I further acknowledge and agree that I may receive communications from OLG for account and/or program administration purposes relating to the Self-Exclusion Program and I consent to these communications for these purposes. The purposes for these communications may include but are not limited to the purposes listed below:
- Communicating program changes;
- Providing information regarding my enrolment in the Self-Exclusion program;
- For program renewal or extension purposes (such as confirming my identify);
- Advising me if I receive an email communication or promotion in error.
