LOTTO MAX jackpots begin at $10 million and, as of the April 14, 2026 draw, can grow to $90 million. If the jackpot reaches $50 million, LOTTO MAX will offer additional MAXMILLIONS draws of $1 million each while the jackpot keeps growing.
MAXPLUS draws determine the winning numbers for the additional $100,000 prizes, available at every jackpot level, and drawn separately.
The number of $100,000 prizes is based on the size of the jackpot. For example, if the jackpot is $10 million, there will be 10 x $100,000 prizes; if the jackpot is $20 million, there will be 20 x $100,000 prizes…up to a $90 million jackpot, with 90 x $100,000 prizes.
MAXMILLIONS are additional prizes of $1 million that are available when the jackpot reaches $50 million or more.
Yes, each additional LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS draw is for a prize of exactly $1 million. If there is more than one winner for a MAXMILLIONS draw, the prize will be shared among the winners.
A regular LOTTO MAX MAXMILLIONS prize that is not won will be applied to the next draw jackpot amount or to the next series of MAXMILLIONS prizes, depending on whether the main jackpot was won. If a MAXMILLIONS prize is offered as a special draw or bonus and it is not won, that prize does not roll into the next draw.
In-store customers can play LOTTO MAX up to 26 weeks (52 draws) with Advance Play. See the LOTTO MAX selection slip or ask your lottery retailer for details.

LOTTO MAX draws are held every Tuesday and Friday and are conducted using Random Number Generator (RNG) technology that has been independently tested and certified by an internationally recognized and accredited tester. MAXMILLIONS draws are also conducted using RNG.
The lottery-draw process for LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 was modernized and simplified by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) in May 2019 to offer our players the best gaming and entertainment experience possible.
RNG draws are becoming more common for lottery draws worldwide and are often used for games with multiple draws that require results more quickly.
RNG is used for all ILC and OLG draws.
The ILC RNG system uses a proprietary algorithm to generate random numbers for all ILC draws, including LOTTO MAX. The RNG used is independently tested and certified for its effectiveness in generating random results and its integrity. A number of checks and balances are performed to ensure draw security and are witnessed by third party observer from MNP. As an additional audit, a parallel draw is performed from a separate geographical location at Loto-Québec.
Gaming Laboratories International, LLC (GLI) reviewed and tested the Random Number Generation (RNG) software that is used to conduct the RNG components of the LOTTO 6/49, LOTTO MAX and DAILY GRAND games and certifies that the RNG software exhibits random behavior and is suitable for the application of the lottery draws stated.
A number of checks and balances are performed to ensure draw security and are witnessed (MNP) and verified via parallel draw at Loto-Québec, by two external auditors, located in two separate geographical locations.
Animated videos depicting the draw results for LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49 and DAILY GRAND are available to watch on OLG.ca after the draw takes place.
