WINTARIO50 – New Limited-Time Regional Game and Community Contest – June 24, 2025
WINTARIO50 is a new OLG raffle-style Lottery Game available in Ontario only for a limited time, from June 24, 2025, until August 14, 2025. WINTARIO50 features 800 guaranteed draw prizes, ranging from $50 to $50,000. Winning tickets will be drawn only from plays issued.
WINTARIO50 is available for $5 per play or 3 plays for $10 at OLG retail locations, on OLG.ca and the OLG App. WINTARIO50 is not available through purchase on OLG’s self-serve terminals.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the start of daily sales and close at 10:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
WINTARIO50 is available at OLG retail lottery terminals, on OLG.ca and the OLG App. This game is not available on OLG’s self-serve lottery terminals.

WINTARIO50 plays are randomly chosen by OLG’s central computer system from a range of numbers between 00000001 to 99999999. To ensure there is only one winning play for each prize, each play must be unique. If customers were able to choose their own numbers, there would always be the possibility that two players could select the same WINTARIO50 number, and therefore, have to split a prize.
WINTARIO50 prizes range from $50 to $50,000. As winning numbers for WINTARIO50 will be drawn only from the plays issued, overall odds of winning any prize are dependent on the number of plays issued.

While the vast majority of lottery prizes are claimed by customers, there is always some possibility that a winning ticket might not be presented for payment or that the prize claim is not approved.

WINTARIO50 Winning Numbers will be available on OLG.ca. The Winning Numbers report from the Lottery Terminal will include a QR code to scan, linking to the Winning Numbers page on OLG.ca.
WINTARIO50 prizes must be claimed by August 14, 2026.
Unclaimed prizes from games operated solely by OLG such as WINTARIO50 are directed to profits paid to the provincial government to benefit the people of Ontario.
WINTARIO50 – COMMUNITY CONTEST - GENERAL
The WINTARIO50 Community Contest is a second chance contest for WINTARIO50 purchases. Customers can earn one (1) entry for each WINTARIO50 ticket purchased for a chance to win prizes for them and for their community in support of United Way.
There is more than $1 Million in Community Prizes. Customers nominate their preferred United Way region for a chance for that region to win one of the following prizes:
- 2 Grand prizes of $250,000 to United Way regions
- 10 prizes of $50,000 to United Way regions
- 14 prizes of $5,000 to United Way regions
Plus, one winner will be selected from the nominators for each United Way region to win one of 26 prizes of $5,000 each.
For WINTARIO50 tickets purchased in-store, players sign in or sign up to contest site and nominate their preferred United Way region when they enter their in-store ticket information. This gives both their region and themselves a chance to win a prize.
Purchases made on OLG.ca are automatically entered into the contest following opt-in and region selection.
A No Purchase Necessary method of entry is also available.
The Contest is open to residents of Ontario who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of Contest and who have a valid Winner’s Edge account or OLG.ca Player Account Entry. OLG.ca Player Accounts must be in good standing in accordance with the Player Agreement and not have been archived, self-excluded, deactivated or placed on a break at time of opt-in or draw.
The Contest is not open to:
- (a) Volunteers, employees, officers, directors, representatives or agents of any of the following:
- (i) the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”);
- (ii) the Sponsor;
- (iii) the Sponsor’s authorized Lottery Retailers (defined below in Section 3.3) (unless the Lottery Retailer or their staff purchases a valid WINTARIO50 ticket from the location of another Lottery Retailer, on OLG.ca, or otherwise enter by way of the No Purchase Necessary option);
- (iv) the respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, Prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies of any of the foregoing parties mentioned in (i) through (iii); and
- (v) any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfillment of the Contest, including the Contest Manager.
- (b) Employees of United Way Centraide.
For the purpose of this Contest, a “Lottery Retailer” means a person/entity contracted by the Sponsor to sell lottery tickets and provide lottery services at a retail location in Ontario.

To enter the WINTARIO50 Community Contest using a ticket purchased in-store, you must:
- (a) Purchase a WINTARIO50 ticket in-store between June 24, 2025, and August 14, 2025
- (b) Log in to or sign up for a Winner’s Edge account
- (c) Visit the “Enter Tickets” page, acknowledge acceptance of the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations (required for first ticket Entry only)
- (d) Enter your Eligible In-Store Ticket using the ticket’s unique ticket number and nominate a United Way Region by following the instructions on the Contest Website.
- (e) Upon successfully completing these steps, you will earn one (1) Entry per Eligible In-Store Ticket, consisting of a Nomination for your selected United Way Region in the associated Community Prize draw and a Participant Prize Entry in the associated Region Pool’s Participant Prize draw.
To note, replacement or cancelled tickets cannot be used to earn Entries.
To enter the WINTARIO50 Community Contest using a purchase on OLG.ca, you must:
- (a) Sign up or log-in to your OLG.ca Player Account
- (b) Navigate to the “Promotion Detail Page/Promotion Landing”, select a Region to Nominate, and opt-in to the WINTARIO50 Community Contest. Once you opt-in, you will receive confirmation the opt-in was successful, and the promotion tile will appear in your “Your Active Promotions” section of your Player Account
- (c) Purchase WINTARIO50 on OLG.ca by using Unutilized Funds or Direct Pay (not funded by Lottery Bonus(es)) between June 24, 2025, and August 14, 2025
- (d) You will earn (1) Entry for each eligible Online Ticket purchased, consisting of a Nomination for your selected United Way Region in the associated Community Prize draw and a Participant Prize Entry in the associated Region Pool’s Participant Prize draw.
To note, you will be able to opt-in to the contest after you have made a WINTARIO50 purchase and you will receive an Entry for each eligible Online Ticket purchased prior to opt-in. These entries will automatically nominate the United Way Region chosen at time of opt-in.
If you no longer wish to participate in the Contest after successfully entering, you must opt-out by contacting Player Support.
To enter the WINTARIO50 Community Contest without making a purchase, you must have a Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca Player account and take the following steps:
- (a) Print, type or handwrite clearly on one (1) or more pages of 8 ½” x 11” paper (letter-size):
- (i) your first name, last name, full mailing address (street, apt./suite, city/town, province, postal code) and day and evening telephone number
- (ii) your date of birth
- (iii) (1) your email address as registered on your Winner’s Edge account, or (2) your email address or username as registered on your OLG.ca Player Account
- (iv) your nominated United Way Centraide Region as per the list set out in the Official Rules
- (v) your acceptance of the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations by writing the words “I agree to the WINTARIO50 Community Contest Official Rules and Regulations.”
- (vi) a minimum one hundred (100) word, unique and original essay describing OLG’s positive contributions to Ontario over the past 50 years; and
- (b) mail it (in an envelope with sufficient postage) to: Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (c/o WINTARIO50 Community Contest) PO Box 60032, Etobicoke RPO Thorncrest, ON M9A 5G2 (“Request”).
To be eligible, each Request must:- (i) be received separately in an envelope bearing sufficient postage (i.e. mass mail-in Requests in the same envelope will be void);
- (ii) be post-marked during the Contest Period and be received no later than August 5, 2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET, (to allow sufficient time for processing); and,
- (iii) include all required information as noted above.
Eligible Participants who correctly follow the instructions noted above will receive one (1) Entry, consisting of a Participant Entry in the Participant Prize draw and a Nomination of their selected United Way Region in the Community Prize draw for each valid NPN Request. Once the Contest Manager has received and validated the Eligible Participant’s NPN Request and Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account, the Contest Manager will submit an Entry to the user’s applicable Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account.

You will receive one (1) entry into the WINTARIO50 Community Contest for each eligible ticket entered, regardless of whether the ticket is for one play ($5) or three plays ($10).
Valid NPN entries will earn (1) entry.
You can earn a maximum total of 200 Entries, regardless of the method of Entry, and additionally subject to the following maximum number of Entries for each method:
- (a) 100 Eligible In-Store Tickets, (or NPN Entries associated to your Winner’s Edge account), and
- (b) 100 online Entries (or NPN Entries associated to your OLG.ca account)
Any purchases or NPN Requests that exceed any of these limits will not generate Entries into the Contest.
For in-store purchases, you can enter the contest with a purchased WINTARIO50 in-store ticket at any time during the contest entry period between June 24, 2025, and August 18, 2025 (noon).
For OLG.ca purchases, you can opt-in to the contest at any time during the contest period. If you have made WINTARIO50 purchases prior to opt-in, you will receive entries for these purchases when you opt-in.
There are two types of prizes available to be won in this Contest, Community Prizes and Participant Prizes.
There are twenty-six (26) Community Prizes available to be won by United Way regions across Ontario.

The draws will take place on or after August 21, 2025.
No. We don’t require you to present the original in-store ticket you entered to claim the prize for this contest. However, make sure you check your original tickets at a retail location to see if they won a prize on the August 14, 2025, WINTARIO50 draw.
The potential winners will be notified as soon as reasonably possible following the draw. We will attempt to contact each potential winner at the telephone number and/or email address and/or mailing address provided with their Winner’s Edge or OLG.ca account registration information for five (5) business days following the date of the draw. The potential winners will have five (5) business days after initial contact to provide proof of eligibility and to claim their prize. After five (5) business days, a new winner will be selected if the first potential winner does not respond.
Yes, winners must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question and complete a waiver before having their prize awarded.
