James, Chris, Sean, and Sergio have been friends for over 20 years. They bond over fantasy football and have been playing OLG POOLS together for the past 10 years.
"We knew we won after the Sunday game," Chris said. "The last two minutes of the game were a real nail biter. We knew it was probably going to be a big win," Sergio added.
"We were all texting each other in celebration," James smiled.
Chris, who was too excited to sleep, waited up until the wee hours of the morning to discover their prize amount. “I was so pumped to see what we had won. I texted the guys immediately to share the news,” he said with a smile.
James, also too excited to sleep, was awake to receive the text from Chris. "I woke up my wife to tell her right away because I didn't believe it. I needed to make sure I wasn't dreaming,” James shared with a laugh.
“I was ecstatic,” Sergio said. “I was smiling from ear-to-ear. When those underdog wins panned out, I had a feeling it was going to be a big payout.”
“This is my brotherhood,” Sergio continued as he looked around the room at his friends. “It feels so good to with big with them after all these years.”
The group members have exciting plans for their windfall with each of them taking home a cheque for $20,677.65. From bucket list adventures to family vacations in Europe, to home renovations, their winnings will be well enjoyed. The friends will continue to play as a team, in hopes of recreating another big win in the upcoming NFL season.
