Drummond, a retiree, plays the lottery occasionally, picking up Quick Pick tickets once a month. The father of two and grandfather of one is now celebrating his first big win and the thrill of becoming a millionaire!
“I first scanned my LOTTARIO ticket using the OLG app and thought I’d won $1,000,” Drummond recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “It wasn’t until I spoke with an OLG representative that I realized I’d won $1 million! At first, I didn’t believe it. I was stunned!”
“I then shared the incredible news with my family. They were shocked and so happy for me,” Drummond smiled. “It’s hard to explain how it feels to suddenly become a millionaire. It’s surreal.”
With his windfall, Drummond plans to pay some bills, invest, and take a well-deserved vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at Meadowvale Ticket Centre on Meadowvale Town Centre Circle in Mississauga.
